Is Poturalski going to make the NHL? you look at Wright, Berniers, Poturalski, Hughes - no difficulty signing UFAs - the future's bright in Seattle. It's still a situation where it's best to tank and get high end ELC talent. You're basically set at center, so IMO you now look for a #1D at next year's draft. Calgary has excess D, but with our deals with Montreal, seems like our GM wants to deal with teams far away and just starting rebuilds (plus SEA doesn't have cap space this year). Donskoi to Calgary would be interesting if he rebounds, that would give you one of our defenseman if a sign and trade could be worked out for Donskoi. Selling cap space in 23-24 would be a good move too, but there's obvious pressure to make the playoffs..

I have had similar thoughts. I think if Seattle is out of the playoffs at the deadline and looking to make some moves to gain assets, Donskoi, Donato and maybe Jones are the likely ones to be traded. They are the only three without deals for at least 1 more year. Well there's a few other guys on their last deals but I think Seattle would rather keep the likes of Dunn.
Only thing to mention is Tkachuk deal was the first actual sign and trade in NHL history. It isn't likely to have something like that happen for Donskoi.
